Hello Dizi-rians!
Please practise hard for 龙腾虎跃 and 喜洋洋, this two pieces of songs. They are likely to be used for 16th April's 30th Anniversary. It is confirmed that we will be wearing our SYF costume on the day itself till further date notice. (Don't scream or whine "WHY", as it is the teachers and/or instructors' command).
Also, please understand that TEAMWORK is extremely important in various instrumental sections. If one person fails terribly on the day of performance and/or cannot cooperate with one another (or worse still, cannot cooperate with entire CO), the entire CO structure will break down. That is, in layman's term, CO will be the only group that screws up the entire performance. I do not wish for that to happen because of Dizi section.
Hence, do allow me to apologize in advance if I seem fierce or unreasonable during sectional practices. Put yourself in my shoes, if one of you gets into any kind of trouble during CO, the first person that gets double/triple/etc the punishment is me. I'm not saying "don't drag me down" or things like that. I'm highlighting the importance of teamwork and self-discipline. If you can't cooperate or discipline yourself, do not make that problem of yours become anybody else's. It is a clear sign of irresponsibility and lack of integrity.
Therefore, here's another issue I wish to address. Please understand that time-keeping is extremely important. That is, if you're given a certain time limit to finish a task, please do so by that time limit. If you're late, I don't see any reasons in anyone of you showing disrespect to your seniors or vice versa. This is so, as when you guys are late, I get the punishment for something you all have done (when I've already warned you guys).
Lastly,
if anyone of you is displeased with the way I function as a secitonal leader, do feel free to approach me and sort your disagreement/discontentment out with me. I'll be glad to give up the role of Dizi SL and pass it to you. Before I forget, please be reminded that this post is targeted at each and every one of you belonging to Dizi Section. There is no discrimination to anyone in particular. But if you think otherwise, do not quote me at all.
Patience is a virtue. When others cannot keep up with your speed,
slow down and help them.
Do not run away at a greater speed, leaving the entire group behind.
Because at the end of the day, there's no winners..
